Travel RN – Respiratory Med-Surg 3 East
Unit: 21-Bed Respiratory Med-Surg
Shift: 36 hrs/week | 7:00PM - 7:30AM | Every other weekend required

Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Registered Nurse to join our fast-paced, 21-bed Respiratory Med-Surg unit that specializes in the care of pulmonary diseases. This high-acuity unit manages a complex patient population, including those requiring continuous telemetry monitoring. Candidates must be comfortable working in a dynamic environment with rapid patient turnover and varying levels of care needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to a diverse population of adult respiratory and medical-surgical patients
• Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality patient outcomes
• Float as needed within scope to similar Med-Surg units such as Wound Care, Stroke, Oncology, Cardiac, Observation, and ED boarders.

Qualifications:

• Active Ohio RN license
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 3 years of recent Med-Surg and Telemetry experience
• Proven ability to independently read and interpret telemetry strips (competency test required on Day 1; failure of competency is grounds for immediate termination)
• EMR: Proficiency with Epic EMR is mandatory(no training or refreshers provided; lack of Epic proficiency is grounds for immediate termination)

Additional Details:

• No on-call requirement
• Must be adaptable, efficient, and able to thrive in a high-volume setting
• Epic proficiency must be clearly documented in referral submission
• Candidates must meet all requirements at submission

Additional Information And Terms

Per updated BSA on 6.26.25 Facility reserves the right to cancel up to 36 hours per 13 week contract. These hours are not limited to 12 hour shifts and will be marked on the facility time report
